The redevelopment of the Royal Newcastle Hospital (RNH) site is one of the most exciting urban renewal projects currently being undertaken on the east coast of NSW.
The redevelopment of the site follows the announcement in 1999 by Hunter Health that by 2007 all medical services provided by Royal Newcastle Hospital would be transferred to other facilities in the region.
The NSW state-owned corporation Landcom has been engaged by Hunter Health to manage the sale and future development of the RNH site.
Landcom has brought together a specialist project team with extensive experience in urban renewal developments to create a Concept Plan that will deliver maximum value in terms of economic, social and environmental outcomes.
